For the thing you can't stop turning over

You've gone over it a hundred times.
You keep ending up in the same place.

You've weighed it, talked it through, slept on it. And it's still sitting there — because what would settle it isn't one more round of thinking. Write it out however it comes. Unfogged gives you back a brief that names the part you've been circling without quite saying.

Your brief
The job Jun 18 · Career
What happened
“I keep going back and forth on whether to leave. I've made the pro and con list maybe four times and it always comes out basically even. The money's fine, the team's fine, I'm not miserable. But every Sunday night I get this dread in my stomach, and I tell myself everywhere has problems and I'd be crazy to leave something stable. I don't know what I'm waiting for.”
In your words
“it always comes out basically even” · “the money's fine, the team's fine” · “this dread in my stomach” · “I don't know what I'm waiting for”
What keeps repeating
Every list weighs the things that are fine — the money, the team, the stability — and comes out even. The one thing you named and never put on the list is the Sunday dread.
The thing you left out
Every argument here is about whether the job is good enough. Not one asks what staying is costing you.
Why it works

You can explain it a dozen times and still leave out the line you haven't put into words.

To a friend, to yourself, in your head at 2am — and still the one that matters goes unsaid. It's too close to see. The brief works only from what you wrote: it points to what you keep coming back to and what's missing from it, and shows you the line in your own words. It doesn't guess at a motive you didn't write — it names what's there, and what isn't.

How it's different
A mirror of awareness, not reassurance.

Every other AI hands your story back smoother and surer than you brought it — which is fine when you want to brainstorm, and useless when you're going in circles. Unfogged isn't built to agree. It works only from what you wrote, doesn't flatter, doesn't tell you what to do — it names the line that's missing and reads for you, never at you.

Why writing

Writing leaves evidence. Conversation disappears.

When you talk it through, the words are gone the moment they're said — so anything a tool tells you afterward is a guess about what you meant. Writing stays on the page. That's why the brief can point back to something instead of guessing: it has your actual words to work from, and it holds itself to them.

What changes
Walk into the next conversation knowing what you actually think.
See the thing you've been circling.
Catch what you've been talking around — before it costs you the call.
The Bigger Picture

Every brief reads one situation. The Bigger Picture reads across all of them.

The more you write, the more there is to read across — the thing you can’t see from inside any single situation starts to show. It’s not a summary and it’s not a score. It’s the pattern in how you write, across everything you’re carrying.

A pattern in your writing, not a judgment about you.

Also works with a coach

Working with someone between sessions? Carry your brief in — so you walk in already on the thread you've been working, instead of rebuilding it from memory.

Why I built it

What I lose isn't on the calendar. It’s the thread of what actually matters.

The thing that landed Tuesday, gone by Thursday. The situation I'd worked through in my head and couldn't get back. I went looking for something to hold it — something that did more than store it and leave it there. Every tool I found wanted the opposite: another entry, another prompt, another reason to come back tomorrow. Kept busy, never done.

I didn't want to be kept busy. I wanted to get to the point.

So I built the thing I couldn't find. I believe technology should help you finish thinking — not keep you thinking.
